Is trash pickup delayed this week?

The usual rule: if your hauler observes a holiday on a weekday, every route from that day to the end of the week moves one day later. A Wednesday holiday means Wednesday routes run Thursday, Thursday on Friday, Friday on Saturday. Routes earlier in the week are not affected. Cities differ on which holidays count — most observe New Year's Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving and Christmas; fewer observe MLK Day, Presidents' Day, Juneteenth, Columbus Day or Veterans Day.
