City & County of Honolulu ENV skips collection on the 2 holidays below. In the provider's words: “Christmas Day and New Year’s Day are the only holidays when refuse, recycling, green waste, and bulky items are not collected. If your scheduled gray cart collection day falls on one of these holidays, please leave your cart at the curb; it will be serviced within the following days. Recycling (blue cart) and green waste (green cart) will not be made up; hold items until the next regularly scheduled pickup date.” (official notice, checked 2026-09-17).
